Past recognition
Business Overview
System Technology Services has been repairing, recycling, and supporting technology for individuals and businesses in Roxburgh Park since 2013. What started as a local repair shop grew into a multi-division operation — repairs, retail, B2B enterprise IT, and AS/NZS 5377-certified e-waste — all under one roof, all serving our community.
Over those thirteen years, we watched the same problem repeat itself across our industry: manual processes slowing down skilled technicians, customers left waiting on updates, good devices lost to inefficient recycling, and small businesses unable to access enterprise-grade IT support without an enterprise-grade budget.
So we built the solution ourselves.
The result is a proprietary AI and software platform designed from the ground up by our own team, for our industry — not adapted from generic off-the-shelf software, not outsourced to a vendor. Built here, in Hume City, by people who understand this work because they do it every day. It's the reason we're entering the Telstra Best of Business Awards 2026, Innovation Award category.
Innovation Award — Why We Fit
Most repair and IT-services businesses still run on whiteboards, spreadsheets, and memory. Staff spend hours chasing customers who are waiting for a status update. Parts get ordered twice. Marketplace listings go stale across channels. E-waste gets sorted the slow way, or not at all. It's an inefficiency that the whole industry has quietly accepted — until it's solved.
We solved it, in-house, with our own team — not a bought platform, not an outsourced build.
Our proprietary AI and software platform connects every part of the operation — diagnostics, technicians, customers, stock, marketplaces, recycling pathways, and logistics — into one intelligent system. It's a new process for an old industry, solving a modern challenge (inefficient, manual, disconnected service operations) with technology built specifically for it. That's the Innovation story we're bringing to the Telstra Best of Business Awards 2026.
What the platform does
Here's what it actually does, today, running our own operation.
Repairs
From the moment a customer books online, the platform takes over. Jobs are triaged automatically, technicians are assigned, and every status update is tracked by barcode and sent to the customer in real time — SMS, WhatsApp, and email. No spreadsheets. No missed calls.
Retail & Marketplace
Our entire product catalogue syncs in real time across eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and Google Shopping from one single source of truth. When stock changes, every platform updates instantly — no double-selling, no manual relisting.
E-Waste
Every incoming device is automatically classified into repair, component-recovery, or certified-material-recycling pathways — all under our AS/NZS 5377 certification. The result: every device reaches its highest-value outcome, and none of it is guesswork.
Enterprise & B2B
Local businesses, schools, and medical centres can lodge repair jobs, track assets, and manage their technology through our B2B partner portal — without enterprise costs or enterprise complexity.
Insurance
For insurance providers and their clients, the platform runs the whole lifecycle: prepaid shipping labels, automated inspection workflows, and return logistics — end to end, with zero manual handoffs.
Behind the Scenes
Claude-powered pipelines draft customer communications, enrich product listings, and run OCR on intake documents — freeing our team to focus on the technical work only people can do.
