When Apple quotes you $1,200 for a logic board replacement, they're replacing the entire board — because that's what Apple does. At STS, we do something different. We identify the specific component that failed — a blown MOSFET, a dead power management chip, a shorted capacitor — and we repair it. We are Apple-certified technicians. We repair MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models from 2015 through to the latest M3 generation — Intel and Apple Silicon alike. Our board-level micro-soldering capability means we can attempt repairs that independent shops without this equipment simply can't do.
MacBook screen replacements cover Retina displays on MacBook Pro (13", 14", 15", 16") and MacBook Air (13", 15"). We replace the full display assembly where required, or just the panel where possible. All screens are OEM-specification — the same quality you'd expect from Apple.
Battery replacements on Apple Silicon MacBooks are more involved than on Intel models — the battery is glued directly to the case and requires care to remove. Our technicians are experienced with both generations. We use OEM-specification cells that correctly report battery health in macOS System Settings.
SSD upgrades are a cost-effective way to transform the performance of older Intel MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. Replacing the original 256GB or 512GB drive with a 1TB or 2TB aftermarket SSD dramatically increases storage and slightly improves read speeds. We handle the migration — you leave with all your files intact, just on a faster, larger drive.
