iPhone 14 Repair Melbourne — Screen, Battery, Dynamic Island, Every Fault

The iPhone 14 series arrived with a significant divide between the standard and Pro models. The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max introduced Dynamic Island — Apple's innovative pill-shaped software interface replacing the notch — along with ProMotion OLED (1–120Hz), an always-on display, and a 48MP main camera (up from 12MP on all prior iPhones). The standard iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, while excellent phones, kept the traditional notch design and 12MP camera.

iPhone 14 screen repairs use OLED panels matched to each model. The standard iPhone 14 and 14 Plus use Super Retina XDR OLED — excellent displays identical in technology to the iPhone 13's screen, just in larger sizes (6.1" and 6.7"). The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max use ProMotion OLED with dynamic 1–120Hz refresh, always-on capability, and higher peak brightness (2,000 nits). We source Pro panels that maintain the full ProMotion specification — non-spec panels would disable the 120Hz feature entirely.

The iPhone 14 Pro was the first iPhone to feature Dynamic Island. The pill-shaped cutout at the top of the Pro screen is part of the display panel design — the TrueDepth sensor array that powers Face ID sits behind the pill in the chassis, not in the panel itself. This means a screen replacement restores the Dynamic Island appearance and Face ID continues to function normally after repair.

Lightning charging port repair is relevant on all iPhone 14 models. iPhone 14 was the last generation to use Lightning (Apple switched to USB-C with iPhone 15 in 2023). A worn or damaged Lightning connector is common after 2+ years of daily charging — the port can be replaced from $79 without touching the logic board in most cases.

Battery replacement is the most common iPhone 14 service by now. The iPhone 14 Pro Max launched with a 4,323mAh cell — after 2.5 years of regular charging cycles, many owners are below 80% battery health. We replace with OEM-specification cells that restore genuine battery health metrics in Settings.
