Samsung Galaxy A35 & A15 Repair Melbourne — Screen, Battery, Every Fault

The Samsung Galaxy A35 5G and A15 are the current best-selling Galaxy A phones in Australia — the mid-range and entry-level pair that account for a huge share of Samsung sales locally. Launched in 2024, both pack a Super AMOLED display and a 5,000mAh battery into an affordable package, which is exactly why so many of them end up on our bench: they are everywhere, they get used hard, and a cracked screen or tired battery is far cheaper to fix than to replace.

At STS Roxburgh Park, the A35 and A15 are among the Galaxy A models we stock parts for, so most screen and battery jobs are same-day. We repair both: the Galaxy A35 5G (6.6-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED, IP67, under-display fingerprint) and the more affordable Galaxy A15 (6.5-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED, side fingerprint).

The Galaxy A35 5G uses a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED at FHD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, with an under-display optical fingerprint reader. The A15 uses a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED at FHD+ with a 90Hz refresh rate and a side-mounted fingerprint reader in the power button. Both are flat displays — no curve — which keeps screen replacement straightforward and affordable: A35 from $129, A15 from $119. On the A35, the under-display fingerprint sensor is calibrated to the original panel, so after a screen replacement we recalibrate it to ensure fingerprint unlock keeps working.

Battery service is the second most common job on both models. The A35 and A15 each carry a 5,000mAh cell with 25W wired charging. The big batteries give excellent endurance when new, but after a couple of years of daily charging they degrade and the phone no longer lasts the day. An OEM-spec battery replacement from $69 restores full endurance. On the A35, the glass back is glued and lifted with controlled heat; the A15 has a plastic back that clips off.

USB-C charging port repair is common on heavily-used A-series phones. The combination of pocket lint and daily plugging wears the port, so the cable only charges at a certain angle. We clean the port first and replace it from $79 if the contacts are worn.

Camera and rear-glass repairs round out the common jobs. The A35's 50MP OIS main camera and the A15's 50MP main camera are replaced from $79; the A35's glass back from $79, the A15's plastic rear from $59.
