The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is Samsung's 2024 flagship lineup — the first to ship with Galaxy AI built in, and the first S series with a titanium frame on the Ultra. At $1,249–$2,199, the S24 series represents a significant investment, and with Samsung promising 7 years of OS updates for the S24 range, keeping it repaired rather than replaced makes excellent economic sense.

Melbourne's Samsung community brings their S24 devices to us for screen repairs, battery replacements, and the full range of repairs that Samsung's own service doesn't complete fast enough.

Galaxy S24 screen replacements use Samsung's Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels — the same display technology powering the displays that made Samsung a household name for phone screens. AMOLED delivers vivid colours, deep blacks, and efficient battery use at high brightness. The S24 standard model uses a flat 6.2-inch AMOLED, the S24+ a flat 6.7-inch, and the S24 Ultra a 6.8-inch with a slightly different curvature profile and the integrated S Pen digitizer layer.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra's titanium frame is the major physical difference that affects repair. Titanium is harder and less flexible than the aluminium in the S24 standard and S24+, which means the frame transfer during disassembly requires specific technique. We handle S24 Ultra repairs with appropriate tooling to avoid cracking the frame at the corners — this is not a repair to hand to a shop without Ultra-specific experience.

Battery replacement on Galaxy S24 phones is practical by year 2–3. Samsung S24 batteries are bonded with adhesive that's strong but manageable — we replace batteries from $79 (S24) and $99 (S24 Ultra). With 7 years of Samsung updates promised on the S24 series, keeping the battery fresh is straightforward economics.

The S Pen on Galaxy S24 Ultra is both a stylus and a productivity tool — if the digitizer stops reading the S Pen (usually after a screen crack that disrupts the digitizer layer), a screen replacement resolves it. Physical S Pen housing faults (broken tip, silo mechanism issue) are assessed separately.

Back glass replacement on S24 models is a separate service from screen replacement. The Corning Gorilla Glass Armour back can crack in falls, and while it doesn't affect functionality, it can cut hands and leads to moisture ingress over time. Back glass from $79.
