1. Repairs — 6-month warranty
Every repair performed by STS includes a 6-month warranty on parts and labour, starting from the date the device was returned to you.
What's covered
- The same fault recurring within 6 months of the original repair
- Part failure attributable to our installation or the part itself
- Labour to diagnose and rectify a warranty fault
What's not covered
- New, unrelated faults that developed after the repair
- Physical damage — drops, cracks, bends — occurring after the repair
- Liquid or water damage occurring after the service date
- Damage from repair attempts by another party after our work
- Software issues, viruses, factory resets, or operating system failures
- Battery degradation from normal use (batteries are consumables)
- Cosmetic wear — scratches, discolouration from normal handling
2. Refurbished devices — 6-month warranty
All refurbished devices sold by STS carry a 6-month hardware warrantyfrom the date of purchase.
What's covered
- Hardware failures — non-functioning screen, charging failure, button failures
- Battery capacity dropping below 80% within the warranty period (applicable where battery health was disclosed as 80%+ at sale)
- Any hardware fault not caused by the buyer
What's not covered
- Accidental damage — cracked screens, liquid damage, drops
- Software issues or data loss
- Cosmetic issues noted at point of sale (pre-disclosed condition)
- Accessories supplied with the device (cables, cases)
- Damage caused by use outside normal operating conditions
3. How to make a warranty claim
- Contact us or visit our store. No appointment needed for walk-ins.
- Bring your device and proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or job number). We can look up most jobs by your name or phone number.
- Free assessment. Our technician will verify the fault and confirm whether it falls within the warranty.
- Resolution. Covered faults are repaired or replaced at no charge. We aim to complete warranty repairs within 5 business days; parts permitting.
4. Australian Consumer Law
This warranty is in addition to the rights and remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
