Google Pixel phones use high-quality OLED displays with under-display fingerprint sensors — and like any modern phone, the screen can crack from a drop. The key to a good Pixel screen repair is using an OEM-specification OLED panel that maintains the display quality and, critically, keeps the under-display fingerprint sensor working.
At STS, we replace cracked Pixel screens with OEM-spec OLED panels and re-calibrate the fingerprint sensor as part of the repair. We cover the full Pixel range — Pixel 6 through Pixel 9, the Pro models with curved displays, and the a-series. Every repair includes a 6-month warranty.
Pixel 9 series screen repair: the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL use Google's latest "Actua" / "Super Actua" OLED displays with high peak brightness. Pixel 9 from $149. Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL from $179. The Pixel 9 series moved to flat displays across the range (even the Pro), which simplifies repair compared to earlier curved Pro models. Under-display fingerprint maintained.
Pixel 8 series screen repair: Pixel 8 from $129, Pixel 8 Pro from $169 (the 8 Pro has a flat display, unlike the curved 7 Pro). Pixel 8a from $129. The Pixel 8 series introduced brighter Actua displays and an upgraded fingerprint sensor — OEM-spec panels maintain both.
Pixel 7 series screen repair: Pixel 7 from $119, Pixel 7a from $119. Pixel 7 Pro from $159 (curved-edge OLED — more complex and costlier to replace than the flat Pixel 7). Same day to 2 days.
Pixel 6 series screen repair: Pixel 6 from $109, Pixel 6a from $109. Pixel 6 Pro from $159 (curved display). The Pixel 6 series was the first with the in-display fingerprint sensor, which on early units was finicky — a fresh OEM-spec panel and re-calibration often improves fingerprint reliability.
Pixel a-series screen repair: the a-series (6a, 7a, 8a) are Google's value Pixels and among the most common we repair — flat OLED screens, economical replacement from $109–$129. Popular and well-supported for parts.
Pixel Fold screen repair: the Pixel Fold's inner foldable OLED is a delicate, specialist repair (similar to Samsung Z Fold). The outer cover display is also replaceable. Pixel Fold screen repair is assessed and quoted individually given the foldable construction.
Fingerprint sensor re-calibration: after any Pixel screen replacement, the under-display fingerprint sensor must be re-registered (you re-add your fingerprints) and, on some models, re-calibrated. We do this as part of every Pixel screen repair so the sensor works reliably with the new panel. Using OEM-spec panels is essential — budget panels frequently break fingerprint function.
